J.A. (“Jack”) Toepke is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TOMCO2 Systems and has been involved since the formation in 1970. He attended Spring Hill College, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
Jack has spent his entire business career in the CO2 industry. One of the first employees of Carbonic Industries Corporation, the former parent company of Tomco2, Jack served for many years as Carbonic’s Executive Vice-President. Since 2000, he has devoted his full attention to TOMCO2 Systems which became an independent company in 1993. During his leadership, TOMCO2 Systems has more than doubled in size thru various diversification strategies.
Now a grandfather, Jack once considered a career as a professional golfer.
Mrs. Lynn Brown is the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of TOMCO2 Systems, Inc., as well as serving as the Transfer Agent and Assistant Secretary for TOMCO2 Systems. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Mrs. Brown joined the company in 1993 as Controller. She was promoted to role of Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer in 2005. Prior to joining TOMCO2 Systems Mrs. Brown worked as a Controller at Glenco Enterprises where she managed all facets of accounting and inventory.
Mrs. Brown also is currently serving as Secretary on the Board of Trustees at Crossroads United Methodist Church and is a devoted fan of the University of Alabama Football.
Dan Templeton is Vice-President of Industrial Sales and has been associated with the CO2 industry since 1982. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University and continues a close relationship with the school as an avid sports fan and supporter. He has held various positions throughout his career working with Carbonic Industries, Airgas, Inc., and TOMCO2 Systems. He contributes his success with being surrounded by very knowledgeable, supportive people and being fortunate to have had supportive presidents from every company he has worked.
Bill Wiggins is the Vice President of Technical Services of TOMCO2 Systems and has been involved in the CO2 Industry for over 40 years. Over this period Bill has been involved with the design, construction and operation of numerous air separation, CO2 and dry ice production facilities. Bill has extensive knowledge in recent years with both CO2 and N2 Delivery Systems for the Industrial and Bottling Industries. His employment with Carbonic Industries Corporation (TOMCO2 Systems former parent company) began in 1986, led him to his transfer in 1993 to Tomco2 Equipment Company where he currently manages the Parts and Service Group, CO2 Plants / Special Projects, Quality Assurance and technical support for industrial sales.
Jeffrey Hering is the General Manager of TOMCO2 Systems, Fire Division. Jeffrey attended the University of Cincinnati and majored in Nuclear Engineering. He is NICET Level IV in Special Hazards. Jeffrey’s background has mostly been in engineering but has spent time in the field. He has 20+ years experience, all in special hazards. He has worked for both distributors and manufacturers prior to being one of the founders of the Fire Division. Jeffrey’s hobbies include shooting, landscaping, photography and driving his Corvette.
Ken Mercer joined TOMCO2 Systems as Operations Manager in 2011. Ken’s 28 years of knowledge and experience in Fire Systems, manufacturing, production, and industrial methods brings major goals to a vast and growing company. Ken attended East Georgia College and is currently pursuing a degree from Southeastern Technical College in Management and Supervisory Development, with an Associate of Applied Science Degree. Ken shared his career with Automatic Sprinkler of America in 1985 as an assembler and became a production buyer and planner. He continued his career as the Operations Manager for Chemetron Fire Systems in 1995.
Ken’s vision is to continuously drive competitive change to manufacturing methods, exceed all customer expectations, and expand profitable growth. Ken is a board member for East Georgia Health Care and enjoys spending time with his wife, two sons, and granddaughter. Ken’s hobbies include hunting, fishing, and watching college football.
